Company Information

Founded in 2018, the Burns Halperin Report tracks equity and representation in the art world. The most recent 2022 edition traced representation in U.S. museums and the art market for work by Black American artists, female-identifying artists, and Black American female-identifying artists by tracing museum acquisitions (a total of almost 350,000 objects) and exhibitions (nearly 6,000) as well as auction results over more than a decade. It also encompasses a variety of analyses from museum leaders, changemakers, market experts, and more. The Burns Halperin Report frequently collaborates with other researchers and data-gathering organizations, including SMU DataArts, Museums Moving Forward, the Black Trustees Alliance, and Artnet.
