Description

In 2023, Studio BE and Eternal Seeds launched BEternal, an ambitious $12 Million campaign to transform our 36,000 square foot warehouse in New Orleans' Bywater neighborhood into an artist-owned creative campus housing an arts education center, a "living" museum, and shared work/studio/meeting spaces that both directly support the city's local culture bearers and catalyze lasting impact for New Orleans’ creative economy. This ambitious campaign centers Eternal Seeds as a model for ethical tourism, youth engagement, and artist ownership to inspire and serve as a model for other cities struggling with these same pressing social issues.

The BEternal campaign has already raised $2 Million, and with additional lending support from Hancock Whitney, Eternal Seeds INC is now the proud owner of the Studio BE warehouse. We are searching for a brilliant Director of Advancement who will work with us to raise the remaining $10 Million that will support building renovations and three years of general operating expenses for Eternal Seeds’ self-sustaining social enterprise.

The campaign’s Director of Advancement is responsible for leading all fundraising activities, donor relations, and grant solicitation on behalf of Eternal Seeds INC, a 501c3 registered non-profit. They will work closely with Eternal Seeds’ Board President to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward a wide range of individual and institutional donors across multiple sectors, including but not limited to the arts, social justice, architecture, sports, entertainment, government, and community development. The Board President maintains an extensive, diverse rolodex of existing and potential donors in these sectors, and it is expected (and exciting) that the campaign’s Director of Advancement will meet this opportunity with their own extensive network of support leads.

As part of its organizational mission, Eternal Seeds is committed to strengthening the career pipeline for young BIPOC arts professionals who have been previously excluded from the field or not made aware of opportunities. As such, Eternal Seeds commits to hiring a Development Associate to support the Director of Advancement as a trusted administrator on all campaign fundraising efforts. It is our expectation that the Director of Advancement will provide mentorship and learning opportunities in order for the Development Associate to deepen their professional knowledge and experience.
